Every time I see the word “patience,” I think of that old cartoon with two buzzards sitting on a tree limb. One of the buzzards says to the other, “Patience my a$$, I’m gonna kill something.” That’s pretty much how I’ve always felt about being patient.
As an entrepreneur building a business, it’s sometimes difficult to wait until all the stars align and I achieve what I’m working towards. I’m excited about what lies ahead, and it tends to make me impatient. I want it all, and, of course, I want it NOW. However, I have found that when I take the time to meditate and visualize what lies ahead, everything falls into place in ways that I could not have imagined.
Have you ever waited a long time for something to happen in your life, and when it finally occurred, you realized that you didn’t take the time to enjoy the journey along the way? Appreciate the people you meet, the places you go and the things that you learn as you reach and exceed your goals beyond your wildest expectations. Your day is on its way.
Patience is a gift. Enjoy the ride – even if it feels like you’re going well below the speed limit.
