Grategy – Lisa Ryan Speaks

Hang Around Optimists

Lisa Ryan - glass half full “Hang around optimists.  Refresh your own psyche and spirit by socializing with people who don’t just see the glass half full but are willing to share that glass with you.  They understand they’ll gain so much more.”  Denis Waitley

Isn’t that a nice thought – to not only hang out with people who see the glass as half-full, but those who are willing to share the glass with you?  It goes to show you, there is always enough.

Do you have people in your life that suck the soul out of your being every time you are around them?  No matter what you do, you feel unacknowledged, unappreciated, and unloved by these people.  Sure, they may put on a “happy face” which adds to your confusion, making you feel like it’s you.  Chances are it’s not – these relationships are destructive and will keep you stuck.

Make a conscious decision to remove “energy vampire” from your life, or at least strictly limit your time with them.  When you are working on creating a bigger, better you, there are people that won’t like it.  They won’t feel comfortable and they feel like you are leaving them behind.  “Oh, you’re too good for us, right?”  When they try to bring you down – stand your ground.

There are plenty of people that love and support you for who you are now and for who you are becoming.  If you don’t know who they are, go out and meet them.

Have you met someone that is a kindred spirit?  Call them up and invite them out to coffee.  Learn as much as you can about them.  When you are interested in them, they will be interested in you.  Build your network of strong supporters and experience the power of the presence of positive people.

Have fun,

Lisa
